the Royal Pavilion [the Royal Pavilion] BrE NAmE (alsothe Brighton Pavilion)
a famous building in ↑Brighton, England, designed in an Indian style by John Nash. It was completed in 1820 and was a favourite building of the ↑Prince Regent, later King ↑George IV. The rooms are mainly in a Chinese style. It is now kept as a museum.
